Dr. Wharton joined Phoenix Cyberknife and Radiation Oncology Center in 2010 and is based at the Arizona Radiation Therapy Specialists West Valley location. He earned his medical degree from the College of Human Medicine at Michigan State University in 2005. He went on to complete his advanced training in radiation oncology at the University of Arizona Cancer Center, where he served as Chief Resident.
Dr. Wharton also received specialized training in prostate seed implantation at the world‑renowned Seattle Prostate Institute. His research contributions include published work on the treatment of breast cancer, prostate cancer, and stereotactic radiation therapy for spine tumors.
He is board‑eligible in therapeutic radiology through the American Board of Radiology.
